**God is Not Done With America Yet
Lauren Cooley / November 8, 2024
God’s not done with America yet. We deserved judgment, but
received mercy. Trump's victory has reset the cultural landscape
in which we fight. Let’s thank God for that.

“Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason.
And that reason was to save our country and to restore America
to greatness,” President Trump said in the early hours as he
addressed supporters at his Victory Party on Election Night.
Many were surprised to see the race called for President
Trump that evening. Even greater was the surprise of President
Trump winning the popular vote, with projections for Republicans
to win majorities in both the Senate and the House.
President Trump recognized the landslide victory, stating,
“America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate.”
President Trump now has a unique opportunity to course-correct
a sick nation. Our sickness is spiritual, physical, cultural,
fiscal… frankly, the rot runs deep. The sheer number of murderous
abortions, the evil of trans ideology forced upon children, the
disunity sowed by DEI trainings, the hate and disdain against
people of faith, and the lawlessness of open borders and the
defund-the-police movement are just a few of the symptoms. For
this, America deserved God’s wrath but received mercy instead.
In electing Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United
States, the 2024 election became more than just a contest for
choosing our nation’s next leader. While the media tried to frame
it as a personality contest, Americans knew it was a pivotal
decision about which candidate aligned with their worldview.
The results show that, perhaps for a moment, we’ve turned
from our wicked ways.
Trump’s campaign tapped into real frustration – that the
Democrat Party cared more about illegal immigrants, ivory tower
ideologies, and other countries’ wars than about the American
people’s wellbeing. Americans were concerned about increased crime,
inflation, unchecked immigration, and progressive gender ideology,
all exacerbated by Biden-Harris policies founded in a Marxist
worldview.
The choice the Democrats offered was a rejection of our Judeo
-Christian ethic. Their worldview ignored absolute truths and
trampled God-given liberties in the name of progress. And when
Americans expressed their concerns, they were labeled as intolerant,
racist, sexist, bigots.
“The Democrats gave us no choice…That was the worst campaign
and their pure arrogance and their moral superiority have driven
people away,” Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy summarized.
It was a pendulum swing of the cultural tide that carried
Donald Trump across the finish line. Trump’s win is emblematic of
the pushback against elite overreach and rejection of cultural rot.
No matter how many celebrities and influencers tried to manipulate
and gaslight the American people, the disconnect between the elites
and the citizens of our nation was palpable, resulting in a land-
slide victory for President-elect Trump.
But Vice President Harris has doubled down on her losing
message. In her concession speech on Wednesday afternoon, she hit
her campaign talking points one final time – abortion, chief among
them. Harris made it clear, her fight is not over.
As believers, that means our efforts in the public square must
continue as well. We have a responsibility to engage not only in
politics but in the cultural and moral battles that lie ahead.
As Dr. Rob Pacienza articulated, “Donald Trump is championing
a new direction for our nation but, ultimately, the message most
needed today is the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
It is clear: God’s not done with America yet. We deserved
judgment, but instead received mercy. While Trump’s victory does
not ensure righteousness in the public square, it does reset the
cultural landscape on which we fight our battles. Let’s thank God
for such an opportunity.
It is my prayer that when Donald Trump is sworn in as our
47th president, he will meet this moment and fulfill his mandate.
And to the church – I pray we meet the moment, too, ever faithful
to the Lord and our calling.**
The Democrats have one bad message they use every time the
open their mouths, they lie and those lies are easy to fact check.
They repeat the lies, accusations, easily proven to be false
blame, over and over until they get caught and realize they need to
shift to a new lie. They have based all of their corruption on the
Alinsky 'Rules for Radicals' book focusing on Rule #10 and the
Cloward-Piven Strategy written by two Communists. Everything they
have accused Republicans of doing are the exact things they have
been doing and have been caught.
Ms. Cooley wrote a very good piece explaining that we have to
trust that God is in charge and will save our nation as long as we
put our faith in Him.
Conservatively,
